Yesterday’s hike from Otford Station in Kent. 7.5 miles (although I cut a corner so it was probably more like 7). It was a cold and cloudy, but beautiful. But it was mainly an opportunity to break in my new trail shoes in time for the South Downs Way next weekend.

I’d totally forgotten how amazing it feels to come out of the gym after working your hardest and pushing through pain and resisting the urge to give up. I might not have achieved an amazing amount in relative terms, but for my fitness level (one notch up from ZERO) I am so proud of my workout…
